Representative that helped us was nice. The whole delivery process was a huge fail. They told us we could get next day delivery and but it ended up being in 3 days. The dispatcher called a day before and told us the delivery would be anywhere from 1:30 - 4:30. On the delivery day she called and told us they would be there at 130. We waited there until 2 and kept calling them with no response. When someone finally answered they were not able to get a hold of the delivery guys. At around 3 o clock they said they would be there at 4. I left work early to get there at 4 and they still didn't show up until 5. Worst delivery experience I've had anywhere. Giving the one extra star only because of the salesman and the quality. Otherwise it'd be 1 star.

I would never buy furniture from here again. 3.5 years ago, we bought all our new home furniture from RoomPlace. At the time, they explained quality and warranty information to us. They said the warranty covers damage up to 5 years, but it does not cover wear. That makes sense. I call to cash in my warranty as a guest snagged my couch and ripped it. This couch (rarely used in our sitting room, and 3.5 years old) is already very worn. I complained to the RoomPlace and they said they would take 10 weeks (yes, 10 weeks to respond). When I try to use my warranty, they said the cannot provide coverage if the couch is worn even though my claim is not about that. So I am out that money. Now that I have made a claim (even though it is denied) I cannot get my warranty money back.
I've very upset with this store. I bought furniture in 2011 and I was told if I never claim anything on the warranty, then I'll get my money back in the form of a gift cert for the warranty. I've called 5 times and sent a secure message to the message center. I did get a reply from them that said this is request is being worked on...two weeks later, still no solution. We ordered furniture in Jan 2017. The guys who came to deliver the furniture delivered the headboard damaged and didn't even install the legs on the dresser. We paid 6k total for the bedset and sectional we purchased. The delivery guys only spoke Spanish so we were not able to communicate. When buying a new house you have enough stress, your furniture place should be the least of your worries. Not in this case. I was forced by their poor customer service to fole a complaint with the BBB.
Dishonest sales reps, managers that dont help customers, and poor sales tactics.
Bought a headboard and rail two different items, the sales associate told us they would assemble it for us but upon delivery it was told that since it isn't a set they are not able to assemble the headboard and the rail together. I called the store spoke to Kenneth multiple time and he is always saying he will call me back but never does. I'm very disappointed with The RoomPlace because i always purchase from them but the time that I do have an issue their customer service has been terrible!!!!
I must say Jasmine from The Roomplace reached out to me about my issue, I sent her an email and photo of my problem. As of 8/30/2017 someone came out and resolved my headboard and rail issue. Thank you for the excellent customer services and retaining a loyal customer!!!
Additionally, they sales person tells us we do not have to deliver and can pick up certain items from 10 minutes away. After looking up the address, it is 40 miles from the store. She also told us that no interest is from the date of delivery, not the date of purchase. Also wrong - that mistake could cost us 2-3k in interest charges.
We bough 2 sets of lotus sofa and 1 love seat on 9/23/17. Sofa delivered to house was default, saggy ,lack of padding and does not look the same we show in store. we called customer service next day and they ask us to send pic we completed all the procedure to get refund howhere they said it's not a company policy despite they delivered faulty produce. Finally after much explanation they got agree to replace same sofa. Even second time we received same default, saggy, wear and old used looking sofa and LS. we went to same procedure again. Even than they didn't give us refund and gave us store credit and force us to shop from them. Basically once they have our money you r stuck with they. They can mentally abuse customers to get store credit or refund back. Finally we did reselection at different location and received damage puncher wedge which delivery guy took back. we had to wait 2 weeks and calling everyday received money back on credit cards. we still have $ 183 store credit from same purchase they said they we refund on my credit card which just not been done yet.Calling every single day to confirm however different answer everyday. All I want to say never go to room place. They r unethical and mentally abuse customers. we like to get solutions and money back on credit card before we take legal action.
